Morning!

Well, this is annoying. Initially we made good speed into the high but for the last 12 hours we've been doing anything from one to five knots as zephyrs trickle past us. Last night was something else though as there was not a single cloud in the sky and the sea was so smooth all of the stars were reflected. It felt like we were ghosting through space rather than on the sea. Definitely one of those unforgettable moments.

As expected, while we have been stopped, the guys behind have caught up considerably. This morning Chris and his team (morning Chris) kept the wind to come up on us and they are now eight miles to the north. Fingers crossed we can get out of the hole soon when almost a race restart is happening. I can't help get the feeling that all the hard work of the last three weeks was for nothing as all distance we worked so hard to gain has gone overnight with those that hadn't done so well initially keeping the breeze as the front runners stopped in the unavoidable high pressure! Such is the nature of ocean racing though - time to throw the dice again!
