Hola from the Punta del Este boat,

Another success for Punta del Este, we sailed the Atlantic Ocean, all safe with the satisfaction of having done a good race. We crossed the Finish Line yesterday on a windy, chilly, Irish summer night. This morning we are motoring up the Foyle River into our final destination Derry~Londonderry, where family and friends are waiting for their loved ones, for a week of festivities and a Guinness or two.

The crew cheered going across the Finish Line with all their different accents and languages, as the Punta del Este boat is a melting pot of nationalities, and we all congratulated and hugged each other for the job well done and the incredible experience we had together as team Punta del Este.

In those hard moments with storm winds and high seas, where we need to keep pushing and morale is low, we asked ourselves; what would the Yacht Club Punta del Este do? They would keep fighting! So we kept fighting, giving it our all against the elements. We'll never surrender! Vamo Punta!

I hope we are continuing to put on a show in the Race Viewer. Also, keep checking the leaderboard scores for any updates!

Until next time,
