Hola from the Yellow boat! This Race 7 continues to bring really exciting moments. Last night we were surfing the waves at 26 knots of boat speed on a starry night and with the occasional wave breaking on deck, running through the only opening on my weather clothing, water always finds a way! We have recovered some lost positions by rotating our helmers every half and hour to keep them sharp and rested at all times. We continue fighting for positions along the wind holes of the east coast of the Philippines.

Even though this Race 7 has been a relatively short one, the intensity of sailing has been high and a welcome rest in Subic bay is in everybody's mind. The Punta del Este crew for this leg is a really hard working one pushing themselves to be ahead of the fleet and always hungry for knowledge. Our new temporary watch leader Ingo Bormann has done an excellent job at running and motivating the watch, he will be definitely missed for the rest of the race.

In the Punta del Este boat we love snacking, from fruit, nuts, biscuits, crackers, chocolate, energy bars, crisp and the midnight noodle club. I have to say that sailing and snacking goes together like house on fire and this comfort food gives you a little boost on the difficult moments. Personally I am having a break from them, I remind the crew that my body is a temple. However temptation is strong, especially during the night and the noodle club smells very good.
