We ran as much sail as we could throughout the night. Tough on board and pushing really hard. Daylight graced us with the opportunity to settle the boat down again and lift the spirits of the crew.

They've been great so far, I wonder about just how far they can go. They are not professional sailors although they have been working with all the enthusiasm and hard work of such.

I'm very impressed. I can hear the cheers and laughter from the cockpit as I write. The recent evolutions and the light came as a big morale boost this morning. The night was pitch black. Whilst I had wanted to push for evolutions, I know there’s a fine line between inspiration and overworking. We all grow closer and there is trust there. Trust that means looking after them when things are a little edgy in the dark of night and building them up to dig deep when the time really calls for it.

I like the balance we have in this team and I'd wish for no other.

We continue to lead our pack but it appears one boat went AWOL and had a break forward. Well done Wavy in the waves. We look today to narrow that margin or take back the lead.

It's a marathon, not a sprint, but we'll keep going!
