We have finally passed Virtual Mark Jay and coincidentally Chris said quick, wake Al and ask him to do a blog - thanks for that Chris! So, with bleary 4am eyes I am trying to recall what went on over the last two groundhog days. We continued to head east off track knowing that a ridge of high pressure would lock us in if we hadn't. Finally, in the early hours of Wednesday, we knew it was our time to head for home and we turned to head north-east towards Ireland. With a perfect course and angle giving us a direct line towards the finish, as one of the back markers, it was imperative we got this timing right. Well it would appear it was worth the trouble and the extra miles as we started to claw our way back up the ranking, slowly regaining ground in a steady 20 to 30kt breeze. With the halfway mark now behind us, our Qingdao team is on it and pushing hard now, to get to our penultimate party in Derry~Londonderry.
