Hello everyone,

It was a great stopover in Portimão; lovely people, fantastic food and an awesome send off. I’m sure the Clipper Race will be back again next edition.

It is also great to be back at sea, the team have settled back into it well, just like we never stopped, and we’re continuing through these light winds currently better than expected. It’s going to be a good race this one, tactically, and will be interesting to see how each team takes the winds down to the doldrums corridor. Then, it’s the tactics of the corridor to consider - are there any loopholes in the rules that the race office haven’t seen yet? And onto the south Atlantic, almost too far away to be worth thinking about.

It’s a stunning evening here it’s like daylight on deck with the light from the moon, the crew is much preferring this start in comparison to the vomit-inducing start of Race 1.

Until tomorrow,

Seumas
