Hello,

What a quick Dell Latitude Rugged Ocean Sprint that was. Normally there is time for a couple of blogs in an ocean sprint where we can talk about the possible options. Like the shortest route but slightly slower and sacrificing for the overall race or just going hell for leather on the fastest point of sail and hoping it turns out alright, but we’ve crossed the sprint so fast we can’t even peruse the options. We did however go for the cross between fastest boat speed and shortest route. To see if it has paid off we will have to wait until prizegiving in Subic bay.

Since this change in weather has come over the layers worn on deck have increased from shorts and t-shirts to light weight Musto BR1 jackets and foulie bottoms. For the first day people tried to endure with jackets and shorts but soon found out they didn’t have enough dry shorts to be going through them at one pair every watch.

In her infinite wisdom Guan, our OBR (On Board Reporter) has sent her foulies ahead of time to China to get cleaned before our arrival leaving her without proper waterproof clothing. So today we got Guan into some foulies. These foulies however were Ollie’s, he is 6ft4 and Guan is only 5ft2 so this quickly turned into a scene from Honey I shrunk the kids or something like that.

Until tomorrow,

Seumas
