Hello.

What fun Subic Bay is with everything from amazing golf courses to inflatable islands and great diving spots to awesome scenery, it’s a good thing we’ll be back in just over a week. After an exhilarating race start yesterday we made good ground north last night with the wind being much more consistent than on the way down the west coast of Luzon, though I am in no doubt that we will all be struck down by massive areas of no winds at some point in our way north and definitely on our way south. The decision to make now or before tomorrow is whether to do the Dell Latitude Rugged Ocean Sprint going north or coming south. Do we go the consistent winds heading south and try and beat the fleet or do we gamble on the light winds when we are heading north?… It remains to be seen etc. so I’ll hold out on that choice for another day.

The crew have dropped straight back into boat life after a prolonged period ashore churning out wraps for lunch and some premium chicken curry from a tin. Not that I’m complaining, as long as there is food I am happy.

Until tomorrow,

Seumas
