Hello,

And welcome to the Tri race WTC Logistics challenge. So far it has been pretty good, for once off the west coast of Luzon there is actually some wind and we have had the Kite up for over 12 hours now and we’re making good headway towards the end of the first Dell Latitude Rugged Ocean Sprint. Rich Gould Skipper of WTC Logistics did a fantastic job of conducting what I think was the first Clipper Race Le Mans start, in the dark. It all went off without a hitch and the wind even played ball as well.

We have decided to enter the first and third sprint and so far as long as we finish within three minutes of Punta Del Este and Qingdao we should have beaten them and picked up three points but we’ll have to wait until prize giving to be sure.

The new joiners are gelling well with the existing crew and getting used to the ebb and flow of life on board before we tackle the north pacific in a couple of weeks time which will test the crew to their limits.

Until tomorrow,

Seumas
