Hello,

After a long hard fought night of light and fluky winds, we have made it up to the northernmost part of the course. If only we had opted for the second sprint, we would have picked up some points, but hindsight is 2020 vision. Still, we cruised through the gate shortly after Ha Long Bay,Viet Nam and are now neck and neck with Josh, Hugo and the team, tacking our way east to start our race south back towards Subic Bay.

Last night, we found ourselves on the correct side of the course for once so when the wind shifted it did so in our favour, unlike earlier in the race, on the first stage, when the wind went behind us forcing us to gybe for the end gate and pushing us out of the sprint points I think. That's racing for you.

Now we weave our way east, waiting for the monsoon north easterlies to fill in and propel us south back home. And it should be a good pace when she does fill in.

Until tomorrow,

Seumas
