In China, in Ireland, in Australia and arrrrround the world. Good Morning from Unicef.

This final blog of the race has come around quickly. Thank you for joining us on our adventure.

The last 80nm to the finish are going to be closely fought for us with Ha Long Bay, Viet Nam close behind.

This race has been a true test for our team in many ways. Ocean racing is a sport like few others. The decisions that we made two weeks ago have had a direct impact on where we are right now. We have been constantly pushing day and night for weeks now. There has not been a chance to relax as different challenges have been one after the other. Navigating the stronger weather has taken its toll on the boat and the crew. Both have performed remarkably. I am very grateful for the tenacity and never ending hard work of the Unicef crew. As we get closer to the finish, things are getting heavier, bodies are tired and minds are weary. I imagine the arrival will be very emotional for many.

If your husband is missing a wedding ring upon arrival into Cape Town, fear not. A ring was expertly removed yesterday due to a swelling. We cannot wait to meet many of you this afternoon. For now there is much to prepare whilst we race these last miles and the wind in meant to increase a lot later today. Getting in to Cape Town in daylight is our aim.

Again, thank you for your support.

Cape Town- HERE WE GO!!

Ian and Mike.
