A short one today as we are rather busy with the current front coming through. Over the last two hours the wind has built from 25 to 35 knots and we are starting to see the first 40s. And we are nowhere near the heaviest bit yet, so it looks like we are in for a fun filled 24hrs around Rockall and St Kilda. Now let's just hope we do actually get to see both and not just fly past them!

The sail plan has been adjusted, down below everything is stowed away extra carefully and the crew is ready. Some are a bit apprehensive as it will be the most wind they will have sailed in. For others the idea that this might be the last heavy winds on a Clipper 70 makes them want to grab every helming opportunity possible and it is a testament to how far they all have come that helming in these conditions now comes naturally. Now let's see what this roller coaster will bring. More news in two days, when we will have slowed down, are hopefully really close to Derry~Londonderry and the sun will be out.
