Hello world!

How's life on terra firma? Here on Kevin, we are slowly drying out from a 24 hour rodeo ride in a Force 7 to 8 on the Beaufort scale. This was not going to be without any bonus or benefits (and thank goodness for no breakages). The benefit was the amazing speeds we got out of it, with many helms passing the 20 knots barrier, with 306 nm in a 24 hour period as the longest distance travelled. Now coming out of it, with more gentle winds, we are back in calmer seas and in a reaching mode with a kite up.

More whales have been greeted whilst passing. Temperatures have been incredibly warm, riding the front of the low pressure area that is pushing us across the Atlantic Ocean, with last night being the coolest so far, but people were still showing up on night watch in shorts!

Otherwise boat life is great, as normal. Even if this may be the last and fastest ocean crossing for this edition of the Clipper Round The World Race, the word Guinness is mentioned more and more and the Derry~Londonderry stopover is already on everybody's mind… only 1250 nm separates us from the Finish Line

Enjoy and talk again over mogen,

Patrick, James and the ZRR team
