Hello everybody it's James here,

Just a quick one today as all of a sudden rather a lot of shipping has sprung up on the AIS and it would be a shame if we had a collision.

Well, we started the Dell Latitude Rugged Ocean Sprint last night in some good breeze, the crew cycling through the reefs and performing the swap from Yankee 1 to 2 like a well oiled machine. Last night we were lucky enough to be sailing under the light of another brilliant moon (not sure if it was the super moon, everyone seemed confused as it looked remarkably like all the other ones we'd seen).

The sea a heaving dark mass, as a confused sea state sent Kevin bounding along like a large dog chasing a tennis ball, casting massive sheets of spray into the air and seeming soaking everyone but the helm. This naturally attracts accusing looks from everyone in the cockpit, but as I tell them every time I'm driving, if I could do it on purpose it would happen a lot more.

Today has been more of the same really, as the distance to Subic Bay enters the triple digit mark the excitement grows and talk of stopover plans begins. Hopefully, we will be able to all get some time off, not many of us have been to the Philippines yet so everyone is curious to find out what it's like and see some sights. I've been told however that the beer is very cheap there so it already sounds wonderful!

Best wishes from Wendy, myself and all the crew!
