Here we are again out in the Palawan Strait, maybe we could name it the Paddlealong Strait, cause a paddle would come in handy at the moment.

We have moments of looking fabulous then moments of not so fabulous, then just moments.

I like being back at sea, even though not moving fast, there are things to look at. The first night, there were fishing boats all around us, a couple who weren't fishing decided it would be good to come close to us and have a look, friendly waves exchanged then they kept going on their way. Shooting stars are always nice, you feel a bit selfish when no one else sees them though..

Then today, whilst on the wheel of fortune and the rest of the deck crew were packing a kite, about 50 tiny flying fish took off over my right shoulder the ticking noise they make as they take off is really cool, again it was my little secret.

Some things you don't like to see, if close to land smoke rising vertically up, no wind.

Unlit buoys at night, always a sigh of relief when you sail past them without incident.

Then there are the sounds, the horrible bashing and crashing of sails with no wind, but next time you wake up there is the most beautiful noise of water rushing under the hull, oh what a joy.

We just had a visit from three outrigger fishermen. They didn't hold up any fish for us to buy, but one did hold up a line, I wonder if they were offering to tow us? We declined whatever the offer was, then with a big wave they headed back to land.

Yes, you have guessed it, its light and not too much is happening.

Oh yes a big thankyou to Nicky Miller, the cheesy whatever they are, it's a nice tradition that started last race, thanks.

Where's the romance?

love youse all
