Hello all, it’s James,

This is going to be short as I've been slightly side-tracked, as we are currently sailing through a swarm of fishing vessels and nets and as a result, I’m sending this blog in quite late.

Yesterday, went from being one of the duller days we've had on the water, to quite an exciting night. We headed out away from the god forsaken wind holes that plague the Philippine coast and up into the Lombok Strait, the wind steadily built and with that came numerous sail changes and reefs on a dark moonless night.

Waves were flying over the deck, with some of the most brilliant phosphorescence I have seen in my life. Considering the conditions, that we are shorthanded at the moment and that we are from a mixture of teams who all have different styles etc, it all went remarkably smoothly. I’d like to go into more detail but am seriously pressed for time on this.

After we had finally got down to reef 3 and Yankee 3 a long night of dodging ships followed. We are now in brilliant sunshine, making decent speed, so at the moment things are looking alright!

Best wishes from Wendy, myself and everyone who is on board Kevin!
