Around 9pm as we get on deck, our world is lit by moonlight. The white waves tops become visible, the sails and the deck get their shape. The clear details of the day become a dark background.

‘We are going to lower the code 3 and hoist the code 2’. Translated, we are going to change the current spinnaker sail by a larger one. Also code language for a lot choreographed work for almost the whole crew.

A while later, all the work is done. The larger spinnaker pulls our boat 2 knots faster through the water. The moon still lights our world, the deck and sails are as visible, the wave tops just rush by faster. The desired result of our work.
