Wow, what a baptism of fire the first few days at sea have been. We have been pushing hard to stay in the leading pack but its blinking hard. We have several crew, me included, who have been finding life on board a challenge. We have had plenty of people feeling pucky, but most are still managing to do what we need to get done. That is why for the last couple of days we haven’t sent any blogs or pictures, sorry guys :)

Yesterday we turned a corner and those who were suffering with the dreaded seasickness started to look perky and we all started to eat properly again. Last night, Adam and Caroline cooked a great meal of mash and spicy beef mince with loads of green beans and courgettes and the whole crew ate like we had never been fed before. It was delicious! followed by tinned peaches and custard.

Everyone seems to have settled in to the watches now, and the three watch system is working great, hot bunking is a challenge as we have to always find a spare bunk, I suppose that is going to get easier too. Tracey has taken to sleeping on the floor near the forward heads lying on BOB, he doesn’t seem to mind, in fact his life jacket light has been blinking for hours as they snuggle up on a pile of day bags filled with toilet rolls. Our first on board romance. HA HA! For those of you reading this who don't know, BOB is the Man Over Board dummy that we use in our safety training, he travels with us around the world so we can continue to practice the drills at the start of every leg.

The sailing for the last couple of days has been great, with good winds and we been sailing downwind now for about 24 hours. Downwind seems like paradise after the first few days hard beating. The sun is shining, we are surfing and the dolphins visited earlier, LIFE IS GOOD. Sorry this is so short but I am due on watch in a few minutes and need to get my gear on.
