Seeking and finding

We were doing so well and then the wind died! Rather frustrating when one is trying to race!

After a very slow night and morning using the windseeker and just bobbing along, we finally caught a northern breeze and were off again.

Yay! Everyone is happy to be moving again although now at a 45 degree angle as we are sailing upwind. We were blessed with clear sky and a multitude of shooting stars during the night which made helming really enjoyable. There I was looking at the milky way while Ryan was questioning whether there was any Russian satellites up there secretly spying on us? No time to ponder that thought as we had a boat to helm...

Our bistro crew made a nice porridge and also catering to the hungry crew with fresh bread, peanut butter and jam which seems to hit the spot.

I am on navigation duties today so I am writing this in between logging, reviewing our course with skipper and trying to find a good position to write after tacking. At times, one feels like an octopus trying to hold on to things with all available limbs.

We tried to do a few press up in the galley earlier although we cheated and did them on the high side. We are getting enough of a workout moving up and down the boat at the mo....

I guess it counts towards getting bikini ready for a stopover in Sydney.

Well, all joking aside. We just love the thrill of riding the wave on HotelPlanner.com just like everyone else in this race.

Sydney is now 400 odd miles away so lets ride the boat as fast as we can.

Dear readers, how about some suggestions for a song list to keep us going?
