Dell Latitude Rugged Ocean Sprint two concludes and we pass towards the start gate of ocean sprint three and the leg back to Subic Bay. New crew mates are becoming friends and colleagues and life on board is settling into its usual routines. Useful for our next race across the Pacific.

Tim has just discovered that flying fish rescued from boat landings leave a distinct perfume on the hands, but another fish saved for the dolphins.

I should mention them...

A pod of about ten played on our bow for a while this morning when the boat was moving. Hopefully the accompanying pictures will help. And yes, Fran did pose.

Little jobs on board, lines spliced and tidied. Rolling hitches practiced. Stuff to fill in the time between patches of wind.

The sextant has made a return to the deck. This is made of a very rare plastic. It has magnetic properties for humans. A crowd always gathers. Still, lots of keen would be and lapsed celestial navigators on board at the minute, so plenty to chat about and play with. Star charts and apps abound.

Fortunately we get a fabulous Milky Way until around midnight, then the waning gibbous moon rises.

More later, keep safe
