Wee Dram’s world tour rolls along
Her ‘21 herd hail and strong
Now from east to west she plies
Pull and grind the sails she flies.
Trusty Max, her crew to assist
An eye for all, nothing missed
He coaches all the worlders each
To welcome and new leggers teach.
With Tom the plans they hatch
Winds and water currents match
Course to steer and sail plans set
From China to the ‘states to get.
To Watch Rhum I’m re-assigned
My galley home, menus refined
With old friends and new to make
Halyards haul and lines to flake.
David sets the tasks on watch
Helm and sheets jobs to match
In the Nav he mails and plots
On the deck he checks the dots.
Katie, expert helm she’s great
Always a smile, always straight
Cares for ills and spills for all
Slight but strong knows the call.
Andy, solo sailor, always willing
Standby sous chef, bilges bailing
Calm and cool he reads the wave
Camera ready and shots to save.
Beth, the rocks researcher
Early bleary, later brighter
Brings the tunes for the speaker
But when surfs up what a shrieker!
Bosun Richard his team is Skye
Master chef on standby
On deck splicing and whipping
reads the boat stops the tipping.
Steve the farming engineer
Strong of arm, loves a beer
Brings good cheer, never surly
Up on the deck he’s always early.
Shaun has Clipper Alumni
First on Qingdao now he’s Isles
Always working never still
Island disks his tunes that chill.
Jack with Shaun on standby
slow to wake but swift to fly
Lives and works for the Euro
Irish man at the Bureau.
Brave Anita was a novice
now the deck’s her office
Victualling queen, heart a’flutter
for the man on Bekezel-er.
Watch Mull they’re a mystery
Lachy and Lorraine making history
Only just a Gang of Four
But power team here to score.
Lachy he’s the Leg 6 lead
on the deck he’s all for speed
Down below he’s named his sails
Stitches patches laments and wails.
Lorraine she brings her Barry’s tea
But first thing needs that coffee
Around the deck she goes for broke
Unless she’s settled for her smoke.
John’s the king of Zen
Oh so cool despite the din
In the Galley he’s Pho master
On the helm he drives us faster.
Dimitrij’s our Adriatic skipper
but signed up for Leg 6 Clipper?
He must be simple in his head
And don’t look when he kneads his bread!
