Down to the South of Japan

It’s been four days since setting sail from Qingdao, sea state has been complicated, with mists from time to time, various wind conditions and fishing fleets have challenged everyone.

As we’re sailing near Japan, the wind started to drop to a complete state of calm till midnight. Under the full moon, we were able to clearly see the Naga Saki Island and some residential lights near the root of the mountains. In company, we were having another six boats sailing nearby, with the mast-top lights shed on the kite and through the sound of waves, we seemed to hear crew murmuring.

The next morning we were blessed with a beautiful sunrise and southerly winds, the outlines of the surrounding islands gradually became clearer. The bow of the boat was like the towering mountains of the southernmost mainland of Japan, standing like high walls in the sea. The distant peaks were shrouded in clouds and mist, appearing and disappearing. The rest of the fleet were drifting far and near, and occasionally you could hear the roar of planes flying overhead, blending in with the peaceful and peaceful scene in front of you. This is very different from the turbulent scene in the North Pacific that I imagined, and it is rare to have such a leisurely and peaceful rest time in this stage.
