Title: Film

Note: Near Miss Film - should be some spectacular great white shark footage but since I have no internet access on the boat I will have to check out the link later on land.

I happened upon another random note in my Keep database.

Sometime late last year I was quite sick. Missed about three weeks of work as I could not physically drag myself off of the couch. The sickness felt much like that I had experienced some 15 years prior when Meniere’s Disease wrecked my left ear. I really don’t want to repeat that one. Ultimately we attributed this sickness to a very nasty spider bite.

I believe it was during that downtime when this bucket list penned and filed away, and since forgotten. Why it resurfaced now got me thinking is, I have ticked or partially ticked some of these items from this makeshift bucket list. I made a very good start towards building a wooden sailboat. Almost bought a Bristol Channel Cutter. These things I have talked about prior to my personal blog.

What stuck in my head this night: Host Dinner Parties.

Now isn’t that just we are doing daily on this Clipper Race yacht. Lunch and Dinner parties with a random set of new friends unable to escape each other’s company for the next, how many Groundhog days?

Today’s lunch party is featuring carbonara mushrooms, brownies and cakes baked in our mostly unstable Galley and wobbly cooker, by the now infamous topless chef Rick plus sous chef Ollie and helper Carl and served on the deck and down below. Surely this counts as a hosted dinner party and another tick from the bucket list!
