New day, new race, with some old routing: we have a new race set for us due to the coronavirus, from Subic Bay to Subic Bay, instead of Subic Bay to Zhuhai.

Even after 3 Races, I still found myself needing a bit of time to get back to the routine again, e.g. trying to remember where I keep everything, getting used to sleeping with the evolution going on on the deck above me etc.

However the most difficult thing for me this time is to leave my family behind. My family lives in Wuhan where the coronavirus started. At the moment the whole city is in complete lock down, no school, no work, no going out, everyone stays at home. Food is organised and delivered to each community for families to pick up so they are looked after, but to not be able to get out of the house at all is tough. And because of the travel ban, I cannot visit them of course, so video call is the only way to see them. Now I will not have the luxury to do so unfortunately while on the boat.

I have been traveling a lot in my life, for work as well as for leisure. Family has always been my rock. They are always there no matter what. I cannot express enough how much I appreciate the support of my family on all my decisions, even if some of them sound crazy. So I would like to take this opportunity to say to my family, THANKS VERY MUCH for everything! I would not be who I am today without you. Look after yourself and be safe! I love you all very much!
