Boat-to-Boat transfer

This evening, at approximately 19:30 UTC, UNICEF and Qingdao conducted a boat-to-boat transfer of medical supplies that are required on board UNICEF.
Every yacht in the fleet carries an extensive medical kit on board, however, UNICEF needed to replenish stocks of a specific medication. Qingdao, the closest yacht to UNICEF, has the additional supplies required by UNICEF crew member, Martin Scanlan. Martin has been in touch with his family to let them know of his condition and all other crew are safe and well.
Boat-to-boat transfers are practiced during Level 4 Training and this transfer was managed by Skippers Dan Bodey and Greg Hunt. We thank both Race Crew and respective sailing staff for this safe and swift transfer.
