Celebrating Resilience and Strength in the Clipper Race with Sta-Lok Terminals

Race 5, aptly named the Sta-Lok Endurance Test, saw the Clipper Race teams encounter formidable conditions and unpredictable weather patterns. This epic journey traversed the Southern Indian Ocean, dipped into the Roaring Forties, and navigated the Tasman Sea, taking the fleet from Fremantle, WA to Newcastle, NSW.

Through the recently concluded Content competition on this race, Official Standing rigging partner Sta-Lok, invited Clipper Race Crew to showcase their interpretation of endurance through a 30-second video or a series of photos illustrating their unique perspective on endurance. Whether it was highlighting the resilience of Sta-Lok Standing Rigging, showcasing the crew's ability to brave the challenges of ocean racing, or emphasising elements on their yacht standing the test of time.

The winning entry perfectly encapsulated the essence of endurance, showcasing the unyielding strength of both the race crew and Sta-Lok Standing Rigging.

Third Place went to Jade Golder and Perseverance for their creativity and incorporation of the Sta-Lok brand colours while infusing both humour and emotion into their video submission.

Zhuhai took home second place for capturing the spirit of endurance in a single image.

The ultimate winner of the competition, however, was Olaf, Paddy and Ha Long Bay, Vietnam earning top honours for their captivating visuals and compelling narration. The team effectively demonstrated the unwavering endurance of their yacht, emphasising the crucial role played by Sta-Lok products in ocean racing.

One of the highly commended entries was from Oliver Hooton of Ha Long Bay, Viet Nam team for a fun take on the brief, using captivating visuals and humour, showing the endurance needed to simply move across the yacht whilst at sea.

The Sta-Lok Content competition not only highlighted the technical prowess of Sta-Lok products but also celebrated the enduring spirit of the Clipper Race participants, showcasing strength, resilience, and lasting power in the world of ocean racing. Congratulations to all the winners!
