A welcome to Clipper Race Fleet Partner Sena as it makes its debut on the 2023-24 edition. 

Communications specialist Sena will be providing Bluetooth headsets for each Clipper 70, supporting dialogue from the helm, bow and nav station and will also be used for rig checks in port.

Sena has made it its mission to connect people and has chosen to partner with the Clipper Race to facilitate the launch into the extreme water sports and marine industries. This partnership is the first of its kind for the innovative technology brand as they launch their new product to the market.  

Founded in 1998, and after long-standing success with its industrial Bluetooth networking technology, Sena revolutionised the motorcycle industry with its development of wireless rider-to-rider communication. 

Over 25 years later, Sena’s passion-driven product line of communication devices has made it a market leader in the powersports industry - with a portfolio of products in the motorcycle, cycling and outdoor activities markets.  

Now its cutting-edge technology is making a splash in the sailing industry, as the Clipper Race partnership times with the launch of Sena’s first-ever nautical communication product.  

The NAUTITALK Bosun is due to be launched in early September, meaning that Clipper Race crew will have worldwide exclusive access to the product from Race Start.

The waterproof and floating device is designed to improve communication and connectivity on board yachts, allowing crew to Sail Connected.  

The NAUTITALK Bosun is worn around the neck and rests on top of your ears. The nine-channel headsets work for a distance of up to 800m, and with a talk time of up to 12 hours.

Each Clipper 70 will have access to two NAUTITALK Bosun devices for the entire race circuit, with full virtual and practical training being delivered to Skippers and AQPs as part of the prep week and Race Start schedules.
