The Swings and the Roundabouts...

The game of Snakes and Ladders is officially over, sometimes what you gain on the swings you lose on the roundabouts, during our Stealth Mode what we gained in positive current we lost on the gybing angles and our efforts to close the gap on the boats ahead was all for naught. It was a great attempt at the very least, to see the team so engaged in our game after the trials of the Southern Ocean, seeing Punta del Este sail in front of us as we sailed north from Tasmania to our eventual position with boats retiring from the race over 100 miles behind us. It's been a wonderful comeback game and the Dare To Lead crew can hold their heads high.

Now we wriggle through the mandatory gates with Zhuhai not so far behind having been finally released from the grip of Brisbane, Fraser Island and the full flow of the East Australian Current, the boats ahead have a comfortable lead and we are sailing in light winds, gybing the Code 1 as we go, Airlie Beach here we come but oh so slowly.
