Good morning all,

Well I am afraid that we have very little to report. We finished sailing when we crossed Mandatory Finish Gate 4, just for the sake of doing it, and dropped the foresails and started to motor to Panama. Not very exciting for you to read about but at least doing 7.5 knots in the right direction.

The evenings have cooled a bit with all the rain squalls about, not very windy or violent but at least they bring the ambient temperatures down, unlike the normal heat during the day. In fact it is much nicer to be on deck at night and not just because of the cool, but the incredible stars, blanketing the skies which seem to be extra dark.

The crew are keeping themselves busy with hundreds of jobs, from cleaning floor boards to sail repair and everything in between, while still sailing and keeping the normal day to day running of the boat. Between Chris and Heather there is no chance that anyone gets to relax until about 1700, when we congregate on deck for a catch up and to watch the sun set. And with any luck a quick shower in any available squall. It is nice to start the evening all clean and fresh.

So we will continue our trudge south east, slowly knocking off the miles to the Gulf of Panama, sail, motor, sail, motor as we go.

Cheers Wavy and a busy crew.
