An interesting first 12 hours of racing, and a brilliant start from GoToBermuda with the whole crew putting in 110% at Race Start. Once on a roll and heading east in an interesting breeze that wasn't on any of the forecasts, we chose to just keep sailing in it and not question how or why it was there. What followed was a short wind hole, ‘short,’ relative to some of our more extreme pauses, with boats making stop-start progress all around us. It was tricky to choose the correct angle and course to make the best progress. A lovely afternoon match racing with Visit Sanya, China (thank you Mike, Mary and crew), a delightful sunset over Unicef later and we are moving again, making steady progress east.
