What a stopover! We have said it before and will say it again, the city of Derry~Londonderry put on an absolute treat. From the weather to the food, and celebrations, the Mayor to the pontoon security guard and every one who poured us a pint we felt welcomed. We will be returning. The rain broke for the Race Start and there was even some wind for the first half hour. We had a good start and sat in the top four at the first and second mark, back across the line some very close quarter manoeuvring with Qingdao supervised by the Race Office, slowed us down but we were quick to find an inshore sea breeze and started the charge north. The wind is certainly looking exciting for the next 24-36 hours, so time to dip the rudders in the water and see what Scotland has in store for us.
