Sorry, we are in Stealth Mode so I can't say too much about where we are. I will give a hint: we are somewhere south of 34 degrees, less than 750nm from Cape Town, sailing under the stars. Well, we have stars ahead that we are sailing to (the best kind), whilst we stubbornly try to ignore the dark sky behind us as we have been rained on enough in the last few days. If we don't pay the clouds attention, they will pass us by...that strategy has been working so far tonight.

After a very wet and windy few days, today was lovely. Downwind sailing with sunshine. Finally, we could open some hatches to dry out the boat, and my sleeping bag has reverted from being a water feature (result of being on the downstream side of every condensation droplet in the boat for a week) to being just a sleeping bag again. Gotta love an Ocean Sleepware, as it stayed warm and dry inside the whole time.

With just under 750 nm to go our minds have started wandering to Cape Town a bit. Beers, showers, family :) But also the lead we are trying to defend to get us there ahead of the others. Somebody said it is easier to be the chaser than to be chased, and I tend to agree. Certainly, from a stress factor perspective. Dare To Lead and Zhuhai are not that far (Hi James, Mike, Ryan, Charlie and crew) and they are pushing hard. It will be a stressful few days for sure. But the crew is happy and eager, and it looks like some nice days of sailing. So, if you have been following us this far, please stay with us to see how it ends.

Ineke, Joss and focused and eager seadogs team
