We are now less than 2000nm to the Finish Line!

For the last two days the sail conditions have almost been prefect. The sun has been shining, the kite is flying, the boat is surfing and the music is playing. The only thing missing is an extra couple of knots of wind, but that should hopefully arrive in the next few days, so fingers crossed we can cross off more miles in the correct direction to get us to Seattle that little bit sooner. Oh! and maybe10degrees warmer would be nice too!

Mark and Jon just managed to cook up an amazing corned beef hash. I never thought I would say that, but it tasted fantastic. Also, kudos to Jon who came up with the idea of a cold desert of granola oats and caramel sauce. Simple but effective as we are limiting our gas usage to make sure we have enough for the rest of the trip, so no more brownies or cinnamon buns for a while now.

In wildlife bingo this afternoon the on-deck watch managed to see a sperm whale swimming past in a lazy fashion, just missing the boat. Somehow I am always off watch and mange to miss them every time, so fingers crossed soon I will see a whale!

We have also tried a new method of Cluedo this race, where after a week we change up the clues so if the person finds out who their killer is after a failed attempt, they get some new clues and it's a chance for the game to carry on! Unfortunately this didn't work in mine or Gus's favour as we both died a gory death by fruit cups in the galley.
