Good Morning!

Approaching our first 24 hours at sea and what a first day it has been. After a beautiful start where the whole fleet charged hard though the race line between Southend pier (the longest pleasure pier in the world) and Sir Robin Knox-Johnston's boat, Sanjula.

The wind and the tide pushed the Clipper Race fleet around, going forward, backwards and everything in between. Wind picked up last night and we had fun sailing but it was a bit tiring too where we had to reef and change head sails to not overpower the boat.

Morale is high and pushing hard to catch up with the head of the fleet. Our first galley duty (crew that rotates to cook for the day) was amazing with great dishes, bread and cake made. Good food, happy crew!

Kind Regards

Jeronimo
