Hola from the Punta del Este boat,

We just finished our last Ocean Sprint of this Clipper Race edition, we had wind, we had the angle and we had the focus to be the fastest. Now we’re just waiting for the results which will be given at Prizegiving in Derry~Londonderry. I hope Punta del Este is putting on a good show for those following the race. We are not afraid to follow interesting tactics and battle whoever comes near us.

We are having the coldest conditions today since we crossed the North Pacific with strong winds and a high sea state - everybody's loving it! Most of us are here for the adventure of sailing in conditions like this, it is hard but beautiful at the same time, surfing the waves at around 22 knots of speed and getting soaking wet!

Our Clipper Race is soon coming to an end and while it is very exciting to finish it, arriving in London having sailed for over 40,000 nautical miles around the world, is also a little sad for me personally, to end an amazing experience that started in 2019 and has had a great impact in my life. Anyway still racing, we need to finish this Race 14 to Derry~Londonderry, experience the wonderful hospitality the city has to offer and prepare for the next race to our final stop, London.

Keep following Punta del Este on the Race Viewer, there are still surprises in this race to come. The race is not over until it's over!

Please visit our Unicef fundraising page and give us a little help over here so we can help the kids around the world, especially the ones that are suffering the most.

Until next time,

Jeronimo (Punta del Este Skipper)
