Well, it's been an interesting 24 hours. First, damaging our spinnaker yesterday and then our fight back to the front. It's a long race and we will just keep trying. It's the hardest part now. The crew are tired now and we can already feel the festivities of making landfall. It's so important at this point to realise that there is so much more to play out in this race with still the best part of 250 miles to the finish.

The conditions of Finisterre were phenomenal! Surfing up to 26.5 knots with non-professional crews and helms. Absolutely fantastic. These guys never cease to impress, taking each problem within their stride.

I can't leave it like that ... the surfing at constant 25 knots for some time was some of the best sailing I've done ever...
