Hello Qingers,

Well as Phil predicted, we have one more blog to do. Though the great thing about this one is we’ve actually finished!

This leg has been a long one, that’s definitely the key feature for me. Just bloody long. The crew have done fantastic to keep cheery and positive as we slowly crawl across this vast ocean. We are all massively proud of the position and how the race went in general - there will be celebrations a plenty!

Now as we make the long motor toward Seattle and loved ones who wait for us, it offers a time for us to all reflect on how far we’ve come. For many leggers across the fleet this is the first ocean crossing – and what an ocean to start with! For round the worlders, and I’m sure Skippers and Skiplets [AQPs] who’ve been on since the beginning of this round the world journey, crossing the Pacific feels one big step closer to Portsmouth. For me, being newer to the Clipper Race, I’m now halfway through already which seems crazy. Massive hats off to those who’ve been on since the beginning. Everyone has their own journey and life they put on hold while they go on the epic side quest of racing around the world.

We have an on dock arrival time of 0900 local time which is fantastic because I know now at 0902 I will have a beer in hand and at 0910 I will have my girlfriend in hand who, along with lots of other fantastic supporters, has been waiting patiently for our arrival.

To all our avid supporters, have a great Wednesday and we’ll catch up with you on the next race!

Love to those at home,

Henry, Phil and the dragon riders
