Hello Qingers!
Welcome all to Race 11, the race that brings us back into warmer climes and Panama. The whole crew are super excited about sailing into a bit of heat after so long in the cold.
We were sad to have to start without Tim who we are informed is doing well and recuperating after getting some medical treatment. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to having him back on board.
After a good Le Mans start where we found ourselves in the leading pack, we worked hard all night and are currently drag racing a few boats at the front of the fleet.
We have had a bit of wind and with the sea state this brings seasickness to the boat. A number of our crew are feeling particularly sorry for themselves. This should pass a bit later and hopefully we get everyone up to full strength again and ready for more hard work trying to stay at the front.
A short one for now as it's hard to type at 45 degrees.
