Good morning!

T-shirts, shorts, sunshine, flat seas, the smell of bacon and eggs with fresh bread and coffee in the morning and to put the cherry on top, whales swimming with the boat. It seems like a lovely sailing holiday. Wait a minute. We are still racing and so are the other teams.

The wind hole brought the fleet back together and everyone seems to struggle to keep the boats moving. The yachts in the east more than the ones in the west who still have decent winds and are catching up quickly.

We are putting all our efforts in to keep the apparent wind high and therefore at least maintain a little bit of speed, which so far seems to work quite well. Every now and then a puff of wind fills the sails and one is hoping we are through the wind hole, only to be disappointed as it disappears a few minutes later again, leaving us bobbing around at 2-3 knots.

Fingers crossed we will be out of this rather sooner than later and back on track to Fremantle for some cold beers!

Fair winds and a following sea!

Chris
