After three days of flying our spinnaker in the rainy fog and messy sea, the wind has shifted and we changed back to our Yankee 1. The sun is fighting to make an appearance through the clouds and the temperature is dropping. Dry suits have been the order of the day for most of the crew for a while now as they stop the drizzle from finding its way down the neck and up the arms. These are being joined by hats, gloves and buffs as we head further north. We are conscious that while we have been enjoying temperatures in the mid-teens on deck, the northern fleet is probably frozen solid. The excitement amongst the crew has been building after the low of watching the fleet sail away while we stayed south, as now with each position report we have been moving up the table. We are all feeling a little wonky as we have been on the same tack for 800nm so far and its looking like we will be on it for another 500nm looking at the forecast.
