Surely not another blog... If you have been following along recently, you’ll notice our progress has been stumped by the wind hole sitting above us. It has been painful to watch our ETA get farther away, and our competitors behind get closer and closer. Fair play to the Ha Long Bay, Viet Nam and Qingdao teams who both very much deserve their podiums. Focus has been on VMG [velocity made good] and keeping our sanity. Good food, lots of music, puzzle games and anything to keep us entertained as we moved at a rather slow pace. On the plus, it has been sunny every day, with beautiful sunrises and sunsets, giving everyone some time to decompress before the chaos of Seattle. It is now 19nm to the finish and Zhuhai is 6 miles behind us with Yacht Club Punta del Este 2 miles behind them. It's going to be a close last few hours and pretty crazy given we have sailed 5,924 miles and it's still all to play for. Vamos UNICEF.
