Good Morning,

Well what a varied 48 hours that was. Smashing upwind in a gale tested and fatigued our crew. It was a bit of a shock to the system after such a relaxing stopover in Derry~Londonderry. Throughout, everyone dug deep and persevered. Furthermore they supported each other and kept Unicef racing in some pretty lively conditions. Yesterday was a massive contrast to the previous day of hardship. Sailing over the top of Scotland and through the Pentland Firth was truly magical. The scenery was beautiful as we shot through the Pentland Firth at over 12knts. The timing with the tide could not have worked out better for us and it was a huge relief to play those games in daylight.

At the moment the racing is close with WTC Logistics and Qingdao, whilst at the same time we are dodging fishing boats, oil platforms and wind farms. With only 370nm remaining to the Thames Estuary our ‘Round Britain and Ireland Race’ (via the world) is coming to an end after three years!!! There are now only a possible three days of racing left for us. Please excuse this brief blog attempt. Must focus on this racing business. JD needs a 1st place pennant to complete his collection.

Here we go.
