Hello Terricolas, I am here with my sea crew battling the North Pacific the best we can.

It’s cold, wet and muggy already so the crew are coming down below freezing looking forward to hot drinks. Yesterday I did the night turn in the galley and it’s nice to prepare your crew some hot chocolates and coffees.

Still upwind, a little bit more off the wind, but still in the upwind world. So, I am looking forward to starting our downwind trip soon. It’s going to feel so amazing to have the boat flat for a bit. Ahead there is a low pressure forming north of Hawaii that looks gigantic, so we are already monitoring what that monster is going to do. A part of me wants to avoid it, but it’s so, so big that I see little to no possibility to go around, which could mean big wave surfs and violent storm winds of Force 11, maybe Hurricane Force 12. Still too early to say but anticipating where you are going to be 3-4 days ahead, it’s what you need to do to not get caught in the wrong spot! So, we are super looking forward to the next seven days 1 degree forecast.

On random news, the flu is almost gone from CV26 and everyone is getting better! Angus and all the team are doing a fantastic job changing the Yankees sails every time and I’ve been thinking very carefully when to put them up/down to avoid extra work/tiredness and anger against the Skipper haha.

Our lazarette bilge is bringing us lots of work as the guys took 17 buckets out the other day after only 15 hours of not doing it. Time is flying as we start living our third week at sea, and we are still not halfway across in nautical miles. Life is good, we can't complain, we are living the dream, or something like that. Big hug to everyone around the world from everyone on board Yacht Club Punta del Este team. Nano
