A very fun start and a tight Le Mans start. We were the only ones to hoist a spinnaker and it was fun whilst it lasted. We took the initiative and the lead but then the wind shifted forward and we had to drop her.
Today we have been upwind sailing, of course, as on every downwind leg, our upwind friend loves coming back to say hello. Our new leggers are settling in, and soon they will be loving it, some of them already do. This isn't an easy sport and the first days, especially with wind on the head, they can sure notice it. We are trying the three watch system, thank you legendary Bob for sharing the details. We are learning the pros and the cons but it was important to try it as we have only 12 crew this leg and you need help on evolutions. We are now tacking our way south west and looking forward for the downwind and a couple of degrees more! Big hug to all our supporters. Stay switched on, this is going to be another exciting race!
