Well, hello everybody,

Hope you are all well! Can't say heaps has really happened the past day or so. We have been slowly trundling vaguely in the direction of Seattle, swapping between our two remaining kites and doing the odd gybe, and doing our best to finish the Chinese snacks in the relative warmth of the spring sunshine. Would be lovely sailing really if not for the looming wind hole at the finish which looks set to ruin our steady progress. This is the main topic on the boat at the moment, it is now weather forecasts as opposed to position reports that are anxiously waited for in the nav station and have the power to really make or ruin your day.

Spirits are high on board, but as has been the theme of blogs for the past week or so, people are tired and to have something like this at the end of a long, cold, wet race is a very unwelcome hurdle. Fingers crossed the forecast shifts in our favour and the whole fleet can get in without too much drama.

On the racing front things have been back an fourth and the wind hole does present us with a certain opportunity to make gains on the boats in front (and boats behind to make gains on us) this race could end up being tenser than the hundreds of miles between us at the moment would suggest. So, its onwards and upwards to the finish and we'll see what happens!

All the best from the crew, Mike and myself
