A Clipper 70 update from Race Director, Justin Taylor:

“Remedial work has now been completed to three of the Clipper 70s and all three will be sailing on the Level 3 course beginning 24 June.  Work is well advanced on the next three yachts and is due to be completed within the next month.

“Greg and Julian from the Maintenance Team were dispatched last month to China to begin the commissioning process on yachts 7 and 8, which arrived in the UK last week. They have now been taken to the yard to complete the commissioning process.

“Two more yachts are already on their way from China and are due to arrive with us at the end of the month. The final two yachts will be shipped to the UK from China in time to commission them for the Race start.

“The schedule remains tight but is achievable as the feedback from the first half of the fleet is paying dividends by substantially reducing the time needed to commission the second half.”
