The crew of Derry~Londonderry~Doire were the toast of the city last night as they took to the stage at Ebrington Square ahead of a performance by the Grammy award winning Beach Boys.

Thousands cheered as the team stepped on stage in front of a packed home crowd, the proud winners of the 2,850 mile Race 14 from New York to Derry-Londonderry, Northern Ireland.

After the team’s guest appearance, the Beach Boys took centre stage as part of the LegenDerry Maritime Festival, entertaining the crowds with some of their greatest hits as they continue on their European Good Vibrations tour.

The fleet will remain at Foyle Marina until the Race 15 start, the 700 mile OneDLL Cup from Derry-Londonderry to Den Helder, the Netherlands. On Sunday 29 June, the fleet will depart at 11am for the penultimate race in the 16 race global series from Greencastle, Country Donegal where the RAF Red Arrows will perform a spectacular aerial display before race start at 1545 BST.
