Team Garmin has arrived in Albany, Western Australia to complete the Clipper 13-14 Race fleet.

The team, who yesterday accepted twelfth position in Race 4 from Cape Town, South Africa arrived in Albany at 0230 local time to a crowd of local residents, friends and family and fellow crew.

The Albany stopover will see new permanent skipper Mark Burkes take over from the Clipper Race’s Senior Training Skipper, Ben Bowley, who has been in temporary charge since Cape Town.

Today will offer local residents the chance to get up and personal on board with an ocean racing yacht.

One boat will available for free of charge tours from 1000 local time until 1500, and on Saturday and Sunday two yachts will be open for viewing from 1000 until 1800 at Albany Waterfront Marina.
