London Business School First Mate, Zoe Longley, will not be able to sail on Leg 3 due to an injured ankle. Former Clipper Race First Mate, Maisie Bristow from the UK, will be stepping in to support Skipper Gavin Rees and the LBS team, from Cape Town to Fremantle.

Maisie circumnavigated as First Mate on the Clipper 2023-24 Race, having completed the North Pacific crossing on the previous edition as crew. A regular face at Clipper Race Training, Maisie also recently spent three months supporting the Ross Edgely record breaking swim around Iceland with SKIRR Adventures.

We wish Zoe a fast recovery and hope she is able to rejoin the race at a later date. We welcome Maisie to the team and look forward to seeing her when she arrives in Cape Town on 14 November.
