Important Update | Team Qingdao

Dan Bodey will take over as Skipper of Team Qingdao for Leg 8 of the Clipper 2025-26 Race, from Washington, DC to Portsmouth, UK.

Dan was Race Crew then First Mate on Team UNICEF in the Clipper 2019-20 Race before going on to skipper Team UNICEF around the world on the Clipper 2023-24 Race, achieving a fourth-place overall finish.

Since then, Dan has remained involved with Clipper Ventures, leading teams in the Knox-Johnston Cup and Fastnet campaign, and as a Training Skipper, bringing extensive race and leadership experience to the role.

Dan will arrive in Washington, DC on 17 June where he will meet Team Qingdao at Prizegiving for Stages 10 and 11.

The Clipper Race team thanks Race Manager, Hannah Brewis, for stepping in to lead Team Qingdao on Stage 11.
